Intense pulsed light (IPL) emits broad-spectrum flashes of light that the skin selectively absorbs: the hemoglobin in dilated capillaries and the melanin in dark spots capture this energy and convert it into heat. The blood vessel closes, the pigment breaks down, and the skin eliminates it over the following days.
The session lasts half an hour, requires no anesthesia, and leaves no wounds. We apply a cooling gel, protect your eyes, and treat the area in passes. After the session, you may notice a slight redness that subsides within a few hours. All sessions are performed by medical staff and are preceded by an assessment of your skin.

WHO IS IT FOR?
There are situations where we adjust the settings, wait a few weeks, or suggest a different technology. We'll go over this together during the preliminary assessment.
Sunburned, red, or sensitive skin: wait for it to heal before treating it.
This is a photosensitizing laser treatment: Use SPF 50 daily and avoid sun exposure during the treatment course.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: We'd rather wait.
Recent Isotretinoin Use: We Assess the Right Time to Start.
Photosensitizing medication: We review this before the session.
Active injuries or infections in the area: we treat the area only when the skin is intact.

Before Your First Session
Does it hurt?
Diffuse redness, visible capillaries , or rosacea in the vascular phase.
Can I go back to my day?
Yes. Mild flushing is common for two to four hours.
When will I see results?
The spots darken and begin to peel slightly during the first week. The reduction in redness becomes more noticeable starting with the second or third session.
What about the sun?
This is a photosensitizing laser, so daily use of SPF 50 is mandatory throughout the entire treatment protocol. Sunbathing is not recommended: it would have the opposite effect of what we’re aiming for. Also, don’t come in with sunburned skin; it’s important to arrive at your session without any redness or sensitivity.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes. It works very well with resurfacing to further improve skin texture, and it can be done on the same day. It can also be combined with other lasers or injectables.
Do I need an appraisal?
Always. We review your skin type, medical history, and medications before scheduling your first session.
Start with an assessment.
Spend 15 minutes with our medical team to find out if pulsed light is what your skin needs.
