Microneedling and Photodynamic Therapy

Skin regeneration doesn't always involve injecting active ingredients from the outside; sometimes the key lies in activating the mechanisms that already exist within the skin. Microneedling and photodynamic therapy are two of the most effective treatments for stimulating the skin's natural repair process, improving its texture, and correcting irregularities, with minimal recovery time and results that build up session by session.

Microneedling

Microneedling creates controlled microchannels in the skin using a high-precision microneedle device. This triggers a natural healing response: your body produces collagen, elastin, and new blood vessels in the treated area, improving the skin’s firmness, texture, and overall appearance.

It is one of the most versatile treatments in cosmetic medicine. It works well for:

It can be performed on its own or as a delivery method to enhance the penetration of active ingredients such as vitamin C, polynucleotides, or growth factors. At Skin Laundry, we specifically combine it with polynucleotides and exosomes to maximize the results of each session.

Also known as LED therapy or photobiomodulation, it uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate the skin in a completely non-invasive way. Red light boosts collagen production and improves circulation; blue light has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects; infrared light penetrates deeper and accelerates tissue regeneration.

It is the perfect complement to microneedling: when applied immediately after a microneedling session, it reduces redness, accelerates healing, and boosts collagen synthesis. It also works on its own as a skin-quality booster, in anti-aging regimens, for sensitive or reactive skin, or as a follow-up treatment to speed up recovery after other, more intense procedures.

Who benefits from these treatments?

Virtually any skin type can benefit from some form of microneedling or photobiomodulation, with the parameters tailored to each individual case. These treatments are especially recommended if you have accumulated sun damage, uneven skin, or acne scars, or if you’re looking for a regular maintenance treatment to keep your skin looking its best. For more sensitive skin, we adjust the intensity to achieve maximum results with minimal impact.

Process and Results

Both treatments are performed in the office and last between 45 and 75 minutes, depending on the protocol. Microneedling requires topical anesthesia beforehand and may cause some redness for the first 24–48 hours. Photobiomodulation is painless and requires no recovery time. The first results are visible after the second or third session and become more pronounced in the following weeks.

These two treatments form the basis of our exclusive SKIN R3GEN and SKIN R3SET protocols.
