Hyperhidrosis: Treatment for Excessive Sweating

Sweating is part of the body’s temperature regulation system, and it’s completely normal. But when sweating is excessive, unrelated to heat or physical exertion, and affects your quality of life—limiting the clothes you wear, the plans you make, or your comfort in social situations—we’re talking about hyperhidrosis. And there is a solution.

Botulinum toxin treatment for hyperhidrosis is one of the interventions that has the greatest impact on the quality of life of those who suffer from it: it is safe, effective, and produces results that last for months.

Treatment Areas

After applying an anesthetic cream or local cooling agent, we administer microinjections in a grid pattern throughout the entire area. The procedure lasts between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on the size of the area; the hands may require a slightly more specific anesthesia protocol due to their greater sensitivity.

There is no recovery time: you can resume your normal activities immediately after the session. The first effects are noticeable after 3–5 days, and the full results become apparent after about a week.

Is this a permanent treatment?

It is not permanent, but with regular sessions, many patients notice that the intensity of their sweating gradually decreases between treatments.
