CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR LASERS

It is important to take into account the possible recommendations to guarantee an optimal result in a laser treatment.

  • Retinols or topical derivatives, AHA/BHA scrubs, exfoliants, vitamin C - 2 days before 
  • Direct exposure to the sun (i.e. sunbathing) - 5 days before 
  • Other lasers (facial hair removal) - 2 weeks ago
  • PRP - 2 weeks ago
  • Neuromodulators (toxin - botox) - 2 weeks ago
  • Fillers (hyaluronic acid, collagen inductor, etc.) - 10 days before
  • Artificial tanning - 1 week ago
  • In case of active infection, including cold sores and unhealed - 1 week (give prior notice)
  • Nanoblading/microblading eyebrows - 1 week
  • Eyebrow waxing/ eyebrow lamination - 3 days prior to treatment
  • Chemical peeling - 1 month before (prior notice)
  • Microneedling - 2 weeks ago
  • RF Microneedling/Morpheus/Co2 fractionated/HIFU: 1 month before. 
  • Surgeries/interventions in the area (please advise in advance)
  • For clients with beards, the ideal is to come clean-shaven (at least 8 hours and no more than 24 hours before the treatment), as we will avoid areas with facial hair.
  • Topical Retinol and Retinol derivatives, AHA/BHA peels, exfoliants or vitamin - the 2 following days
  • Direct sun exposure (i.e., no sunbathing) - the following 5 days. 
  • PRP - during the following month.
  • Neuromodulator (toxin - botox) - 2 days later .
  • Fillers(hyaluronic acid, collagen inducer, etc) - 2 days later.
  • Make-up in 24hr with Resurfacing/Microneedling.
  • Sweat / Gym / Sauna / Swimming Poolwith Resurfacing/Microneedling
  • Artificial tanner -2 days later.
  • Eyebrows (nanoblading/microblading) - 2 days later 
  • Waxing/laminating eyebrows - 3 days later 
  • Microneedling - 15 days later.
  • RF Microneedling/Morpheus/CO2/HIFU - 15 days later.
  • Tetracyclines, sulfonamides: wait one week after the last dose.
  • Oral retinoids (isotretinoin, Accutane): to be consulted according to dose.
  • Photobiodynamic therapy or 5-fluorouracil: you should wait 2 weeks after these treatments and the skin should be in its normal state before. 
  • Chemotherapy: consult your oncologist, as some chemotherapy drugs may be photosensitizing.
